13. Internationaler Kongress für Lutherforschung: Organisation

Vom 30. Juli bis 4. August 2017 fand in Lutherstadt Wittenberg der 13. Internationale Kongress für Lutherforschung statt. Der Kongress widmete sich mit dem Thema „1517. Luther zwischen Tradition und Erneuerung“ den Anfängen der Reformation.

Seit 1956 tagt der Internationale Lutherforschungskongress regelmässig in verschiedenen Ländern und Kontinenten. 2012 fand der Kongress in Helsinki statt. Seitdem bereitete der Fortsetzungsausschuss den nächsten Kongress vor. Der Fortsetzungsausschuss legt jeweils das nächste Kongressthema fest, plant die Hauptvorträge und Seminare, lädt die Vortragenden und Seminarleiterinnen und Seminarleiter ein. Vorsitzender des Fortsetzungsausschusses ist zur Zeit Prof. Dr. Carl Axel Aurelius (Schweden). Die anderen Mitglieder sind: Prof. Dr. Jane Haemig (USA), Prof. Dr. Volker Leppin (Deutschland), Prof. Dr. Anna Vind (Dänemark), Prof. Dr. Antti Raunio (Finland), Prof. Dr. Ricardo Rieth (Brasilien), Prof. Dr. Albrecht Beutel (Deutschland), Prof. Dr. Armin Kohnle (Deutschland), Prof. Dr. Robert Kolb (USA) und Prof. Dr. Mark Mattes (USA).

Für alle praktischen Fragen der Organisation wie Anmeldung, Unterkunft und Verpflegung, Seminarauswahl, Bewerbung um Kurzvorträge, Empfänge usw. ist der Organisationsausschuss vor Ort zuständig. Dessen Vorsitzender ist Dr. Stefan Rhein (Lutherstadt Wittenberg).

Kasch (Lutherischer Weltbund), Probst Siegfried Kasparick† (Evangelische Kirche Mitteldeutschland), Prof. Dr. Christopher Spehr (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena), Dr. Michael Beyer (Universität Leipzig) und Dr. Stephan Rhein (Stiftung Luthergedenkstätten Sachsen-Anhalt).

Since 1956 the International Congress for Luther Research has met regularly in different countries and continents. In 2012 the congress was held in Helsinki. In between the congresses a Continuation Committee is at work. This committee deals with the subject matter to be discussed at the next Congress and decides upon questions concerning the overall theme of the congress, the keynote lectures and the invitation of lecturers, the seminars and the invitation of seminar leaders and so on. Currently, the Continuation Committee is chaired by Prof. Dr. Carl Axel Aurelius (Sweden). Everything that concerns practical matters like registration, board and lodging, choice of seminar, application of short presentation, receptions, services et cetera is taken care of by the Local Committee. This committee is chaired by Dr. Stefan Rhein (Lutherstadt Wittenberg).
