Internationaler Kongress f\u00fcr Lutherforschung: Seminar 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Austra <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">Reinis<br \/>\nThe impact of Luther\u2019s postils and exegetical writings on Reformation and Counter-Reformation preaching<br \/>\nDie Wirkung der Postillen und fr\u00fchen exegetischen Schriften Luthers auf die Predigt in Reformation und Gegenreformation<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It has been suggested that in the wake of their publication, Martin Luther\u2019s postils, sermons, and other exegetical writings were used by later preachers in the same manner in which earlier medieval preachers had used the famous <em>Glossa Ordinaria<\/em>. This seminar will explore the impact of Luther\u2019s exegesis on 16<sup>th<\/sup> and 17<sup>th<\/sup> century preaching in the Lutheran, Catholic, and other traditions. Seminar participants will each present their research. Time permitting, the texts of select Lutheran and Catholic sermons that draw on Luther\u2019s exegesis will be examined and discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Seminar languages \/ Seminarsprachen: English and German.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"widget-title\">13.
